Short version: LoopJam has no accounts and doesn't collect personal information about the people who play.

What stays in your browser

When you like or save a game, LoopJam remembers it in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.

What we collect

Only anonymous counts for each game, so creators can see how their game is doing. When you play, LoopJam counts three things: the share page for a game was opened, a game was started, and a game finished (and for a finished game, how many seconds the run lasted). Each count is stored with the game's name, the version of the game and the day. That is all.

The counts are made without cookies and without anything that identifies you or your device. No account, device ID, fingerprint, user agent, referrer or IP address is saved with them. Your IP address is used for a moment in memory to limit how fast one place can send counts, and is not written down. Because nothing identifies anyone, LoopJam can't tell how many different people played, or whether anyone came back, and it doesn't try to.

Totals per game and day (plays, finished runs, time played) are kept. The raw counts are deleted by our host after three months.

If you submit a game

Submitting a game means sending us the game, its title and description, and the creator name, colour and optional X handle you choose to show. We keep the game and this information for as long as the game is on LoopJam. We don't ask for your email or real name, and there are no accounts: you get an edit token, and we keep only a scrambled (hashed) copy of it that can't be turned back into the token. While a submission waits for review we keep a scrambled code derived from your IP address, only to limit how many games one place can queue at once. It is deleted when the game is approved or rejected. Rejected submissions are deleted after 14 days. The submit page may show a Cloudflare Turnstile check, which is run by Cloudflare under its privacy policy.

What we don't do

Our host

LoopJam is served by Cloudflare. Like any website host, Cloudflare handles your IP address to deliver pages to you and to protect the site from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. Fonts and everything else are served from LoopJam itself, not from other companies.

Children

Because LoopJam doesn't collect personal information from anyone, it doesn't knowingly collect any from children under 13 either. Every game is reviewed by a person and must be suitable for all ages.

Messages you send us

If you email us or message us on X (to report a game, or to submit one), we keep that message and use it only to respond.
